The fire is the main comfort of the garden or patio, whether in summer or winter, and is about as ample at one season as at another. It is as well for cheerfulness and romance as for warmth and dryness.
Outdoor Gas Fireplaces are a new and useful garden and patio center of interest much like a fountain or fishpond placed among your plants and shrubbery. They are available in many sizes and shapes from very simple to more decorative designs that are fully functional and serve a worthwhile purpose.
The predominant trend in today’s residential homes usually includes an outdoor lounging area such as an enclosed deck or patio as an attachment to the rear area of the house. In some cases, where a more remote area is used, a screen-enclosed gazebo placed in the midst of a flower garden serves the purpose.
An area such as this can easily provide an opportunity for the enjoyment of the fresh air even when it is a chilly day and you want to relax outside with your friends and family. These times are when having an outdoor gas fireplace is a great addition that will allow you to stay warm and comfortable without needing to return inside at sundown.
We should all be making sure that we get outside and get as much fresh air as we can. Many people avoid using their own outdoor facilities when the weather is cold or it is nighttime and this is really putting the space to waste.
SIMPLE TO USE AND ENJOY
Unlike a campsite in the woods where you can simply dig a pit and encircle it with rocks and stones, fill it with kindling and log pieces and ignite a fire. In this case, you will need a gas source to fuel the fire. It may often mean digging up a small trench in your landscaping but once installed they are easier to use than a wooden fireplace.
Wooden fireplaces will require you to keep on adding logs and the fire can be temperamental if the wood does not burn well. You will also be laden with smoke and soot that will need removal. On the other hand, a simple turn of a knob on the front of the unit and you will have heat within moments. Unless your gas runs out you will have enough warmth as you need and can simply turn it off when you are done. No ashes, no clean up. Maintenance is minimal.
INSTALLATION
The first thing you should do is to make sure that you have placed the fireplace at least ten feet away from your house or any combustible structure in the area. This is a safety precaution. Furniture placed around the fireplace should also be non-combustible and kept at a warm but safe distance.
After you have installed your fireplace in a safe and comfortable area in your garden gazebo, deck or patio you will be able to use it as you desire and enjoy your outdoor space even more. It will be the focal point for a festive barbeque dinner and an attractive piece of social equipment for people to gather around and enjoy the warmth.
Choose wisely and enjoy. An attractive fireplace design will also add value to your home as well as make it look great. There are many designs to choose from that can complement the décor and character of your home and garden or patio.
